2. RASPBERRY
Since the first baked cake, fruit-filled desserts have been loaded with the loveable strawberry. But now it's time to give Ms. Raspberry some of the spotlight. As an added health benefit, red raspberries contain strong antioxidants such as Vitamin C, quercetin and gallic acid that fight against cancer, heart and circulatory disease and age-related decline.

Raspberry Chiffon Pie

3. PECAN
There are a growing number of people developing nut allergies in the U.S.. For those of us who can have them, add them to your desserts for added texture and that distinct nutty flavor.  Pecans can do much more than just put the finishing touches on a fabulous dessert. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has acknowledged this and related research and approved the following qualified health claim: “Scientific evidence suggests, but does not prove, that eating 1.5 ounces per day of most nuts, such as pecans, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease.”

** Recipe Ideas**
Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie
Pecan Pie Bars
Pecan Sandies cookies

My husband said something very profound last night...he resolved instead of making New Year's Resolutions...just do better...that simple.

Every year, countless people make resolutions to lose weight, exercise more, go to church more, etc...however, I don't have to tell you how many actually keep the resolutions they make half-heartily.  You'd think that we would be tired of making promises we know we aren't going to keep.

So, in the words of my husband...just do better this year & make yourself better perso

Why OH Why, did I have to go to Black Friday?  I have come to grips w/the fact that there are two types of Black Friday shoppers.  The ones who are so crazy, they will clothesline a little kid standing between them & the last snuggie...then there are the rest of us...Not quite a crazy as the aforementioned but, not smart enough to be home where its safe & warm lol.

I truly must say, this was my 2nd & final Black Friday ever in life.  I have witnessed a lady knock a Walmart employee out & stood in line for an hour to get into Target just to purchase a digital photo frame for my nana.  Nana, I love you but, what's love got to do w/it??

At the end of the day, I can not say saving $20 on a digital photo frame was worth my sanity & sleep to get in the long lines w/the rest of the crazy ppl all, in the name of a "sale".  So, to Black Friday I say, thanks...but, no thanks

Sweets, treats, desserts...whatever your decide to call them, they were all there!! We had such a great time being a vendor at the Sugar Coma festival on 11/13/2011, given by @thebrokesocialite (twitter handle), Mrs. Shameeka Ayers!! We met so many new people and were so thrilled that the CARAMEL BANANA PUDDING was such a huge hit!! Some of the reactions were priceless. From one ladies' eyes rolling back in her head to one description of being "orgasmic", our new twist on granny's favorite was more than well- received!!

We LOVE what we do. Creating new twists on classic flavors of sweets. As sisters we can be like sugar & spice. But when together our desserts are always NICE!! (kinda corny, I know. LOL)
